DYER SHEEHAN GROUP, INC. was founded in 1997 by Dawn Dyer and Paul Sheehan, who share decades of industry experience in real estate analysis, investment and development. She holds a B.S. degree in Organizational Leadership from California Lutheran University.
Ms. Dyer specializes in Investment Real Estate, 1031 Tax-Deferred Exchanges, and land for development. Dawn has represented corporate, institutional, and private clients in the acquisition, disposition, and development of thousands of housing units, and over one million square feet of commercial and industrial NNN leased property, as well as hundreds of acres of land for development.
In addition to investment brokerage, Dawn specializes in market research, feasibility studies, and entitlement of residential and mixed-use developments, working closely with public agencies and community stakeholders to successfully secure approval for new developments. She has successfully resolved land use issues involving CEQA, Native American resources, Historic Preservation, and the Veterans Administration.
Under her leadership, Dyer Sheehan Group produces a widely cited annual multi-family housing market analysis published by local universities, including the UCSB Economic Forecast Project, and the CLU Center for Economic Research and Forecasting, and is used to inform General Plans in local cities. A respected speaker, educator, and expert witness, Dawn is also deeply committed to community service.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture, he brings more than 40 years of experience in the analysis, entitlement, design, construction, and marketing of Southern California real estate.
Paul specializes in residential and mixed-use development, land use entitlements, and complex regulatory negotiations. He is widely recognized for finding creative pathways to approval on challenging projects, including General Plan Amendments, Zone Changes, Coastal Zone approvals, and major development permits.
His architectural practice has included custom homes, beachfront developments, multi-family and condominium developments, and commercial and industrial projects. Paul also provides expert witness testimony, and serves on the Regional Advisory Board of California Lutheran University’s Center for Economic Research & Forecasting.

Harvey Champlin is a seasoned real estate developer and attorney with extensive experience in land use regulation, planning, housing, leisure and hospitality. He combines his development, investment banking, and legal experience with strong leadership, communication and analytical skills to assist Dyer Sheehan Group clients. Harvey is a graduate of Pepperdine University Law School and holds a degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He is active in the Ventura County non-profit community and has served as a Member of the Board of Commissioners of the Ventura Housing Authority, Mesa Supportive Living, Turning Point Foundation, Ventura Botanical Gardens’ Development Committee, and as a Director of the Gold Coast Veteran’s Foundation.
