Since 1997, Dyer Sheehan Group has conducted, and published, a comprehensive annual survey and analysis of the vibrant multi-family housing market in Ventura County. This research is also published by: University of California Santa Barbara Economic Forecast Project; California Lutheran University Center for Economic Research and Forecasting; and the California Economic Forecast.
DSG’s Ventura County Apartment Market Survey publication is updated annually in July and includes detailed statistical summaries and graphs that show current rents (both in dollars and dollars per sq. ft.) and vacancy rates, as well as average unit sizes and property ages for major market areas in the county.
In addition to current rental rates, historical trends are provided (with graphs) for the prior four years. Survey data is provided for each market area with a countywide summary. Also included is an informational table showing “Income Required to Qualify as a Renter,” based on current county rental data.
