Dyer Sheehan Group was founded in 1997 by Dawn Dyer and Paul Sheehan, who share decades of industry experience in real estate analysis, investment and development. We provide a comprehensive menu of professional consulting and brokerage services to our clients.

Dawn Dyer is Ventura County’s Apartment Market Expert! A California licensed Real Estate Broker, with over four decades of experience, Dawn specializes in Real Estate Analysis, Investment, 1031 Tax-Deferred Exchanges, and Land Development.

As a recognized authority in California Real Estate, Ms. Dyer provides Expert Witness Services regarding Real Estate Valuation, Development, and Contract issues.

In addition to investment brokerage, Dawn specializes in market research, feasibility studies, and entitlement of residential and mixed-use developments, working closely with public agencies and community stakeholders to secure approval.

Under her leadership, Dyer Sheehan Group produces a widely cited annual multi-family housing market analysis published by local universities, including the UCSB Economic Forecast Project, and the CLU Center for Economic Research and Forecasting, and is used to inform General Plans in local cities.

Paul Sheehan is CFO and co-founder of Dyer Sheehan Group, Inc. Paul has accumulated a unique set of expertise, skills, and practical experience as a California licensed Architect, Real Estate Agent, and General Building Contractor. A graduate of the prestigious University of Notre Dame School of Architecture, he brings more than 40 years of experience in the analysis, entitlement, design, construction, and marketing of Southern California real estate.

Paul specializes in residential and mixed-use development, land use entitlements, and complex regulatory negotiations. He is renowned for resolving “insurmountable” regulatory obstacles, and finding creative pathways to approval on challenging projects, including General Plan Amendments, Zone Changes, Coastal Zone approvals, and major development permits.

Mr. Sheehan provides expert witness testimony on land use and development issues. His architectural practice has included custom homes, beachfront developments, multi-family and condominium developments, and commercial and industrial projects. He serves on the Regional Advisory Board of California Lutheran University’s Center for Economic Research & Forecasting, and volunteers his services to the Board of Directors at Villa Calleguas Apartments Supportive Housing.

Harvey Champlin is a real estate developer and attorney with extensive experience in land use regulation, planning, housing, and leisure & hospitality. Harvey combines his investment banking, development and legal background with strong leadership, communication and analytical skills to assist Dyer Sheehan Group clients in land use analysis, market research, project planning & management, feasibility studies, and risk management.

Mr. Champlin has developed master planned resort communities and commercial projects internationally, and mixed-use residential and commercial projects in Southern California. He is active in the Ventura County non-profit community.
